We employ the services of Safety & Access Ltd, health and safety consultants specialising in the scaffolding industry for regular consultation, training and external auditing.
In addition we have a NEBOSH National General Certificate holder who can identify, evaluate and control a wide range of workplace hazards.
Health and safety accreditations and memberships
We are members of the NASC, the national trade body for access and scaffolding in the UK. It means we are required to maintain a safety policy that follows current health and safety regulations, standards and codes of practice as well as guidance issued by the NASC. To ensure we continue to deliver to these standards, we are audited every year.
We are also accredited members of CHAS, The Contractors Health and Safety Assessment Scheme. It is an authority on health and safety compliance and is responsible for setting industry benchmarks. As an accredited member you know our policies and procedures are up-to-date and comply with current legislation.

Fully trained and accredited scaffolders
All our scaffolding operatives are fully employed by us and we do not use sub-contractors. You can be certain that every member of the Gloucester Scaffolding team on your building site understands their responsibilities.
All our scaffolding operatives hold CISRS cards and are registered with the Construction Industry Scaffolders Record Scheme, the scaffold training scheme that’s been recognised by the industry for over 40 years.
All operatives go through the CISRS Operative Training Scheme (COTS) so they understand the basics of the industry and how to work safely with scaffolding and access equipment. All operatives also undertake UKATA asbestos awareness training so they understand the dangers it represents and how to respond if they encounter it.
A number of our scaffolding operatives:
